Amelia Earhart Awards
Two McGill students have won 2003 Amelia Earhart Fellowship Awards for their research in aerospace science and engineering. Katrina Brandstadt, a materials engineering graduate student, and Nancy Martineau, a doctoral student in geomorphology, are two of three Canadian winners.

The ultimate reality-based learning experience has been launched. Forget Loft Story. Forget other fellowship programs - nothing compares. Fourteen young people, from Slovakia to Canada, have been invited to stretch their intellectual and cultural framework through a unique scholarly and live-in program at McGill University.

Internationally renowned McGill philosopher Charles Taylor was awarded the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council's Gold Medal for Achievement in Research, the Council's highest honour, in Ottawa on Thursday night.
