Once you have an account which is in the beowulf group, you can log into the cluster server, gil using SSH. Your password will be the same as your regular CIM password, but you will notice that your home directory is not your regular CIM home directory. This new home directory exists on each node in the cluster. The cluster does not NFS mount the usual CIM home directories, for many reasons, all of which are beyond the scope of this document.
Feel free to customize your account as you see fit by modifying your .bashrc, etc. If you wish to use a shell other than bash you may change your default shell using the chsh command.
