Francois Erbsmann, one of the founders of IPMI, died tragically soon after the first IPMI. In his honor an award is given at each meeting for the best paper presented by a young scientist making his or her first oral IPMI presentation. To be eligible, you must be the first author of the paper, 35 or under, and this should be your first oral presentation at IPMI.
