CIM welcomes two new members!

Prof. Forbes became an associate member of CIM in 2011 and returned to McGill this year. He was formerly an assistant professor at the University of Michigan, where he taught for the past two years. He has a Ph.D. in Aerospace Science and Engineering from the University of Toronto, where he won the G.N. Patterson award for the most outstanding Ph.D. thesis. His research interests include control theory and dynamics of aerospace vehicles and robotic systems.
Prof. Meger is a newly appointed assistant professor, and a former postdoctoral researcher at CIM. He completed his Ph.D. in Computer Science at the University of British Columbia with a thesis entitled "Visual Object Recognition for Mobile Platforms". He is interested in robotic perception and machine learning, which can be applied to robots operating in various settings including indoors, underwater and in the air.
