Research of the former CIMite Dr. Maxime Descoteaux featured in National Geographic, February 2014 edition
Dr. Descoteaux is a researcher and professor at Université de Sherbrooke, Department of Computer Science, and a member of FQRNT Regroupement REPARTI. He is also a Program Faculty of CREATE-MIA
, NSERC Collaborative Research and Training Experience in Medical Image Analysis which is hosted at CIM. During his graduate studies under the supervision of Prof. Kaleem Siddiqi he was as a member of CIM’s Shape Analysis Group.
His current research interests include diffusion MRI acquisition, processing and visualization to infer white-matter connectivity in the human brain. Dr. Descoteaux’s research and breakthrough discoveries and applications are featured in this month’s issue of National Geographic titled “The New Science of the Brain”. Please click here
